MCG Tempe is seeking a collaborative and detail-driven Project Architect to join our team in the design and documentation of Retail and Fitness sector projects from concept through construction administration. We are looking for someone who can play a critical role in translating development vision into quality, buildable design solutions while coordinating closely with internal teams, consultants and construction partners.

7-10 years of professional experience, commercially based, retail experience a plus. Professional licensure or track to obtaining an architectural license is preferred. Skilled Revit based project experience. Strong knowledge of building and accessibility codes, and an ability to work independently and be self-directed. Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and a commitment to exceptional client service. Ability to coordinate project deliverables with development, construction, engineering and consulting partners to maintain design quality and project alignment goals. Strong ability to produce both design and construction drawings for AHJ approval as well as experience in construction-phase documentation including RFI’s, shop drawings, change orders and construction bulletins. Ability to track project scope, design changes and associated costs while supporting project budgets and schedules. Enthusiasm for learning, improving and aspiring others to do the same.

  • Oversee building code analysis, unit layouts, specifications, and project scope development.
  • Manage consultant coordination including structural, MEP, and specialty consultants, including historic and NPS-related reviews when applicable.
