Your Role

Gensler is embarking on a multi-year, large scale, healthcare project with a very collaborative Owner-Architect-Contractor team. We are seeking a Project Design Technology Director with in-depth knowledge of the entire design and construction process and a strong sense of innovation to support our Design Technology Leadership in managing a high level, world-class game changing project that will redefine patient care. The Director should exemplify leadership through a diverse portfolio of large-scale collaborative projects, experience with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Big Room concept, as well as the proven ability to work with large project teams in an executive role.

The Project Design Technology Director is multifaceted role that provides project technical leadership, strategic vision and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space.  As the Project Design Technology Director, you will champion the strategy, implementation, and management of all aspects of a long-term, high-profile project delivery, acting as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, author of critical project related documents / standards, as well as upholding the highest level of design and execution of project.

What You Will Do

• Leadership and management in Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) and BIM Implementation / Execution on large complex projects.
• Prioritize and align the project design technology initiatives with the impact of the project delivery needs.
• Understanding the appropriate roles of an Owner-Architect-Contractor (O-A-C) team, and O-A-C collaborative IPD project delivery model.
• Authoring, advisory, and executing BIM and Design Technology Implementation Strategy on large complex projects.
• Ability to articulate and report on key performance indicators of Design Technology practices across all projects involved.
• Lead design teams, as well as construction teams through a properly executed Design Technology Strategy.
• Meet regularly with all project stakeholders including Client, Construction Manager team, and individual BIM Managers.
• Work with Project Teams Leadership to review contracts, BEP, Project Standards, and other documents to address the Digital Design aspect for project delivery.
• Work with the Regional Design Technology Leadership to incorporate workflows, best practices and content shared across the project and firm.
• Oversee the implementation of training needs within the project team.
• Lead a rigorous implementation of collaboration platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Execution of digital fluency between applications to eliminate digital waste.
• Agile production workflows using automation and similar techniques to approach complex tasks and problem solving.

Your Qualifications​

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent, with 15+ years of experience in design and/or construction practice preferred. Licensed professional preferred.
• 5 years of proven experience in complex project-specific parametric BIM workflow from start to finish in all phases of design and delivery.
• Expert knowledge of, and proven practical background in, Autodesk Revit Architecture and related BIM software (Navisworks, Revizto, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud Workflow)
• Knowledge of design applications such as SketchUp, Rhino, Visual Programming (Dynamo / Grasshopper), Project Visualization tools, Generative Design tools and how they may best work together.
• Expert in implementing and supporting design collaboration platforms such as design authoring tools in a virtual environment, Panzura collaboration, AEC cloud-based products (ACC, Docs, Coordinate and Build).
• Articulate communicator, able to convey Design Technology concepts to all levels of design and delivery leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen and drive consensus through relationship building and ability to bring project teams to work together across the globe.

Your Role

We are seeking a professional with a passion for experimentation, innovation, and problem solving to join our Design Technology team. As a Design Technology Manager located in our incredible Phoenix office, your role will be on promoting, implementing, and elevating our BIM, Computational and Visualization workflows and protocols. In partnership with the SW Regional Design Technology leadership, you will ensure the deployment of initiatives to elevate Design Technology fluency and capabilities to projects and to the Phoenix office.

This is a multifaceted role that provides vision, leadership, strategic value and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space. You will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization, and digital platforms implementation in partnership with your fellow Regional and Global Design Technology community.

You will maintain the lines of communication with office leaders, studio leaders and project teams. You will also establish goals and project plans in support of Global, Regional and office objectives, as well as monitoring and reporting on progress. You will establish, interpret, and communicate changes in guidelines, policies, procedures, and other related matters as well as acting as a mentor to project teams on the best Design Technology practices through the lifecycle of a project.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in AEC/O space.
• Experience working in Architecture or related industries, with detailed knowledge of project processes, milestones, and deliverables.
• Documented progressive growth and experience in leading / supporting Design Technology and innovative framework / workflows in project delivery.
• Expert in design authoring technology platforms in areas of implementation, practice, and development for Autodesk Revit, and Navisworks.
• Expert in implementing and supporting cloud-based platforms for design collaboration such as BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

Your Role

Use your passion for attention to detail to help the Gensler team bring designs to life. As a Project Coordinator you will provide administrative and project coordination throughout the life of a project from the initial proposal, through various design phases, to project close-out.

What You Will Do

• Consistently provide a high level of customer service to Gensler staff, clients, vendors, business partners and guests while at times, being the client interface.
• Managing workload – prioritizing work, follow up of outstanding items, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Provide coordination and administrative support through project phases:
• Project Start-Up Tasks: Including contracts, RFP’s/proposal letters, work authorizations, creation and/or maintenance of project directories, cloud-based file sharing sites, opening project and sub-project numbers.
• Early Project Phases Tasks: Including but not limited to programming data worksheets, consultant contracts, consultant work authorizations, accurate project files documentation, project filing, creation/maintenance of various spreadsheets, correspondence, maintenance of logs (contracts, work authorization, consultant work authorizations), Bluebeam Studio set up and management.
• Construction Documentation: QA/QC document stamping and coordination, Final stamping coordination
• Construction Administration: RFI and Submittal logging, file management and tracking.
• Support managers with fees spreadsheets.
• Request insurance certificates, coordinate with Legal and Finance.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings.  Attend meetings, if necessary, for taking meeting minutes and documenting other project information.
• Organize, update, and file coordination of Microsoft Teams project pages.
• Special duties and projects, as assigned or necessary, including management and training of other coordinators.

Your Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a project coordinator
• Experience within an architecture or design firm (highly desired)
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• High level of professionalism and strong sense of urgency
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in Word, InDesign, Photoshop, and MS Project preferred
