Deutsch Architecture group is looking for a Project Manager with eight or more years of commercial experience managing multiple small/medium projects simultaneously, as well as experience on large, complex projects. The position is full-time, in office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create a plan for each project, including schedule, budget and staffing projections for the project delivery through contract administration and closeout in accordance with the project proposal.
• Regularly review financial performance on each assigned project to monitor and analyze actual performance versus budgeted hours and update principals regularly.
• Update staffing needs to reflect accurate resource requirements for assigned projects and proposals.
• Manage projects to meet company profit goals and meet client expectations.
• Maintain positive client contact that produces additional work opportunities.
• Supervise project design/production teams.
• Develop area of responsibility on projects for each project team member, including consultants.
• Lead and participate in the production of contract documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Understand and implement comprehensive building design and construction techniques, details, etc. in the production and coordination of project documents, including civil, landscape, structural and MEP disciplines.
• Prepare code analysis at the start of schematic design and update it throughout design.
• Review architectural and consultant progress drawings for progress, errors and omissions.
• Thoroughly review drawing sets for quality and conformance with firm standards prior to quality assurance/quality control review and municipal submittal.
• Manage all phases of municipal approvals.
• Identify when projects require additional services or have been requested by the client. Prepare and execute additional services for clients.
• Administer the contractor procurement process to achieve client expectations.
• Manage contract administration for projects within budget. Document all errors and field changes.
• Conduct shop drawing review and oversee consultant/contractor coordination.
• Respond to RFI’s for assigned projects.
• Prepare Proposal Requests/Architect’s Supplemental Instructions and oversee consultant/contractor coordination.
• Attend design and construction progress meetings virtually and in person. Prepare conference notes for design meetings.
• Document pertinent project correspondence and information.
• Work with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare conceptual site plans and space plans.
• Investigate, evaluate and recommend design solutions that best meet the client’s needs.
• Produce ‘cartoon sets’ for projects.
• Perform initial zoning and code analyses for Project Architect/Manager review.
• Conduct and assist with consultant coordination to achieve minimal rework.

Construction Cost Analyst

Lender’s Quality Assurance is seeking a (preferably Local Phoenix area) candidate with Architecture, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering experience to review construction drawings and documents (by others) and complete Plan and Cost Review Reports, Site Observation Reports, and/or Property Condition Reports. Candidate must be capable of independently developing a written scope of work based on the drawings provided for review, along with developing a unit cost budget estimate based on RS Means and internal cost databases to compare to the construction budget provided for review.
Must have strong written and verbal communications, critical thinking, and problem solving skills; along with high self-motivation.
