We are seeking a talented Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic team, contributing to cutting-edge projects in private aviation and high-end hospitality. The ideal candidate is proficient in Revit, passionate about sustainable design, and skilled at translating conceptual visions into precise technical drawings. This role involves collaborating with architects, artisans, and clients to deliver luxurious, regionally inspired spaces that redefine industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and Modeling: Produce detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD for private airport terminals and high-end hospitality projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Design Development: Collaborate with architects to develop design concepts, incorporating sustainable materials, regional elements, and modern aesthetics tailored to aviation and hospitality environments across diverse U.S. locations.
- Technical Coordination: Assist in coordinating with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure drawings align with structural, mechanical, and environmental requirements for projects like private hangars, luxury lounges, or boutique hotels.
- Sustainability Integration: Incorporate eco-conscious solutions, such as energy-efficient systems and reclaimed materials, into drafting processes to support CHB’s commitment to sustainable design.
- Client and Artisan Collaboration: Work with local artisans and stakeholders to integrate custom elements (e.g., regionally inspired art, textures, or materials) into technical drawings, ensuring contextual authenticity.
- Project Documentation: Prepare presentations, renderings, and documentation for client reviews, permitting, and construction phases, maintaining high standards of clarity and professionalism.
- Quality Control: Review and revise drawings to ensure precision, adherence to codes, and alignment with CHB’s design vision for projects like urban infill apartments or private aviation hubs.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of architectural drafting experience, preferably in aviation, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit (required) and AutoCAD; familiarity with SketchUp, Lumion, or Bluebeam is a plus.
- Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and sustainable design principles.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience or strong interest in private aviation (e.g., airport terminals, hangars) and high-end hospitality (e.g., luxury hotels, lounges) design.
- Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams, including artisans and high-net-worth clients.
- Passion for integrating regional and environmental elements into design.
- Portfolio: Must provide a portfolio showcasing technical drawings and 3D models, ideally featuring aviation or hospitality projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with regional design elements from various U.S. markets (e.g., Midwest, Northeast, or Southwest aesthetics).
- Experience with sustainable materials and green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
- Ability to produce high-quality technical working/construction documents.
