What You Will Do
- Work closely with our project leadership and design team to develop architectural solutions from conceptual level through construction documentation
- Resolve complex technical and design issues, providing guidance to the team
- Lead the creative efforts and develop overall design concepts and design presentation strategies

Design Manager - Interiors

Your Role
A Design Manager at Gensler works with autonomy to be responsible for execution of a variety of project types and sizes and will lead all phases of projects. He or she will be involved in all phases of the project delivery and must have a working knowledge of this process with the ability to deliver the successful completion of a project. You will lead the relationships with the client, contractor, agencies, as well as engineering and specialty consultants. A typical and great day for you would be collaborating with the Principal, supporting, mentoring or teaching co-workers. You would be working to execute all phases of design including initial programming, planning, feasibility, scope and concept development, and to lead detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration. You will partner with consulting engineers or other vendors, by providing clear direction so that they are better equipped to complete their corporate mission. - You set the stage for a successful project by meeting on-site with clients and/or consultants to perform existing condition site investigations, including building measurements, surrounding site documentation such as ADA compliance, observation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, observation, and documentation of structural systems.
