Urban Design Associates Ltd. is a well-established, design-driven architecture firm specializing in high-end custom homes and estates. We are seeking a Junior Architectural Designer with 2–3 years of professional experience to join our Scottsdale studio and contribute to the design and delivery of exceptional residential projects.
This role is ideal for a motivated designer who is ready to take ownership of their work, collaborate closely with senior designers and the Principal, and grow within a firm that values design excellence, craftsmanship, and client experience.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate directly with Lead Designers and the Principal on schematic design and design development
- Develop detailed preliminary plans, 3D models, and construction documents
- Pick up redlines and coordinate drawing sets for Design Review and permit submittals
- Review and coordinate work with internal team members and external consultants
- Assist with zoning, code analysis, and regulatory requirements
- Support timely submissions to Authorities Having Jurisdiction
- Participate in site visits, field measurements, and construction coordination
- Maintain and organize electronic project files and office detail libraries
- Help translate design intent into buildable, high-quality residential architecture
- Independently resolve minor production issues as they arise
- Assist in guiding less experienced team members
- Deliver a WOW, 5-star experience for every client
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of professional experience in high-end residential design
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Drafting
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (construction documents required)
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, SketchUp, and Lumion
- Understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and industry standards
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative studio environment
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Clear, professional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to learn new tools, workflows, and systems
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
- Passion for design with awareness of current residential and architectural trends
- Adaptable mindset that supports team culture, growth, and continuous improvement

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually (based on experience)
- Job Type: Full-time, in-office (remote work on Fridays after waiting period)
