Congratulations to Max Underwood, FAIA, who has been elevated to the AIA College of Fellows for 2026!
Underwood is one of 78 architects this year to become a Fellow (67 FAIA and 11 Honorary FAIA), AIA’s highest membership honor, for exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society.
A President’s Professor in the Design School within the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University, Underwood is one of only three architects to be elevated this year under Object 6: “To advance the science and art of planning and building by advancing the standards of architectural education and training.” Underwood will be honored at the AIA College of Fellows Investiture ceremony on June 11 during the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design in San Diego.
