
Representative on Equity, AIA Arizona
Omar Bailey, AIA, NOMA, is a senior architect at Shepley Bulfinch in Phoenix, with experience leading impactful design across a wide spectrum of project types, including K–12 schools, higher education, non-profit community spaces, and large-scale urban developments.
A passionate advocate for equity and representation in the built environment, Omar served as president of NOMA Arizona from 2024 through 2025 and is the current board past president. He champions inclusive design practices that reflect and celebrate the communities they serve. Driven by a belief in the power of design benefitting from community engagement and diverse perspectives, Omar brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to every project. Outside the studio, he enjoys mountain biking, swimming, and exploring Arizona’s mountain trails.
