AIA Phoenix Metro AAH Event: Beyond the Bedside: Honest Conversations on Industry Strain
The healthcare industry is under tremendous strain—more so than ever—due to market forces that include workforce shortages, financial pressures, and the results of geographic, treatment, and affordability gaps.
On Wednesday, February 18, the AIA Phoenix Metro Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) will host a panel discussion with local health industry leaders as they share their perspectives on what is keeping them up at night, and how they are navigating the uncertainties and pressures they are facing. The conversation will be focused on healthcare, but architecture professional working on other project types will find the discourse to be valuable.
Moderated by Craig Passey, AIA, Vice President and Director of Health at Smithgroup and Chair of the AAH committee, the panel will include:
- Rachel Lambert, MBA, Chief Operting Officer at Mountain Park Health Center
- David Landin, Systems Director of Real Estate Development at CommonSpirit Health
- Laura Robertson, FACHA, Chief Executive Officer for Banner Desert Medical Center, Banner Children’s at Banner Desert, and Banner Ocotillo Medical Center
- Amy Yates, MSN, RN, CENP, Executive Coach and Health Care Consultant at Intrinsic Growth Quests and former CNO at Banner Ironwood Medical Center
