2026 AIA Arizona Design Awards Extended Entry Deadline
Entries are now accepted for all categories of the 2026 AIA Arizona Design Awards! The final extended deadline for all categories is Thursday, July 30.

Entrants from the Southern Arizona (Tucson-area) chapter in the following four categories—Distinguished Architecture, Interior Architecture, Component Design, and Unbuilt—will enter their projects through this site for consideration in both the AIA Arizona (state) Design Awards and the AIA Southern Arizona (chapter) Design Awards.
Entrants in the following three categories: Distinguished Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Unbuilt will be required to include project information for at least three of the 10 principles of the AIA Framework for Design Excellence. The Framework questions are integrated within this entry site.
Winners will be notified by mid-September, and will be honored at the AIA Arizona Awards Gala at the Heard Museum on Saturday, November 14, 2026.
The 2026 AIA Arizona Design Awards Chair is James Trahan, AIA, a Partner at 180 Degrees Design + Build in Phoenix.
The 2026 Jury Chair is Byron Mouton, AIA, Principal, bildDESIGN, and Lacey Senior Professor of Practice – Architecture, Tulane University
Mouton will oversee both jury teams for the Project categories and Practice categories. The 2026 Design Awards jury will be composed of AIA members from New Orleans.

The Arizona Medal jury is distinct and separate. The 2026 AIA Arizona Fellows Chair-elect will oversee selection of the Arizona Medal jury, which will include at least three Fellows from outside of Arizona.
