Based in Washington, D.C., Sargent brings four decades of design expertise to her newly released book, “Designing Neuroinclusive Workplaces: Advancing Sensory Processing and Cognitive Well-Being in the Built Environment” (Wiley).
The future of the workplace is neuroflexibility. From light and sound to temperature and proximity to other people, everyone is constantly impacted by a range of sensory inputs. Viewers learned practical strategies to design sensory-friendly environments that benefit both neurodivergent and neurotypical employees, from flexible spaces to reduced sensory stimuli.
