Fellows

AIA Fellows are recognized with the AIA’s highest membership honor for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society. Only 3% of AIA architects nationally have the distinction of being a Fellow. Each year, the deadline is in fall to submit a nomination for Fellowship. New Fellows are recognized in an investiture ceremony at the AIA national conference. For more information on AIA Fellows, visit the AIA national website here.

Here in Arizona, the AIA Fellows regularly collaborate with AIA10 members on programming and mentorship.

In the AIA Arizona Design Awards program, a jury of Fellows reviews nominations and selects the winner of the Arizona Architect’s Medal, which is bestowed upon AIA Arizona members who have advanced the profession of architecture with outstanding professional achievements and evidence of social responsibility within the greater community.

In addition, the Chairman’s Award is selected at the discretion of the chair of the AIA Arizona College of Fellows. This special individual honor celebrates an AIA Arizona member who is exceptional, selfless, and substantive in their efforts in the community and/or the architecture profession.
