Kale and Shasta Keltz opened Bicycle Haus in 2004, creating a vibrant community of cyclists and enthusiasts. Known for its exceptional service, Bicycle Haus has become one of the finest bicycle shops in the nation. In 2017, Shasta pursued a childhood dream of making ice cream, leading to the creation of “skoop,” a premium, homemade, small-batch ice cream concept.

The current Bicycle Haus, built in 2014, is an architectural landmark admired by cyclists nationwide. Now, a decade later, the new stand-alone “Skoop” shop showcases purpose-built architecture that combines function and beauty.

Skoop is a 1,500-square-foot “scoop shop,” emphasizing high-quality, handcrafted premium ice cream served through a walk-up window. The building’s design reflects pure architectural craftwork, arising from a collaboration between the contractor, owner, and architect, all connected through cycling.

The building’s unique dimensions, 12 feet wide and 84 feet long, efficiently utilize the site by occupying former parallel parking spaces. Despite its small footprint, the new shop operates independently while maintaining visual and philosophical harmony with the flagship Bicycle Haus next door.
