On Thursday, January 23, AIA Arizona members and attendees joined the Committee on the Environment (COTE) to kick off the year with a special presentation on urban design for health and wellness.
Guest speakers shared knowledge about the health and wellness of alternative transportation within the urban environment. In addition, a portion of the discussion examined evidence-based design interventions and site selection criteria for active communities as it relates to the WELL Building Standard.
In the spirit of the event, attendees were encouraged to explore different methods of transportation and a group bike ride preceded the event!
