AIA Phoenix Metro Community Connection

AIA Phoenix Metro’s Community Connection is a forum for shared updates on events and initiatives at AIA Phoenix Metro, as well as AIA Arizona and AIA National. This forum aims to highlight the value of membership, showcase available resources, and outline meaningful ways to get involved as an AIA Phoenix Metro member. As the platform continues to evolve, AIA Phoenix Metro will explore strengthening relationships with local jurisdictions, fostering collaboration between the AIA, public agencies, and the design community.

All are welcome to join us virtual on May 7 at 12 PM, bringing members together with leadership. We’ll kick things off with a recap of the AIA Arizona Associates Gathering, followed by updates on upcoming AIA National events.

We’re also excited to introduce AIA National Young Architect Award winner Shawn Swisher, AIA, who will join 2026 AIA Phoenix Metro President Andrea Hardy, AIA, in conversation with Jeff Tamulevich, Ryan Levesque, and John Earhart from the City of Tempe. Together, they’ll lead a panel discussion with the representatives from the City of Tempe, exploring sustainability, ADUs, and the role of Boards and Commissions in shaping the city’s future.
