City of Tucson Community Corridors Tool Webinar
The presentation will be on the Community Corridors Tool (CCT), a proposed new section of the City of Tucson’s Unified Development Code. The CCT is designed to address the City’s housing crisis by encouraging the development of vacant and underutilized sites along the City’s corridors.
The CCT would allow for more flexibility related to the construction of diverse housing types. It is an optional tool which would maintain underlying zoning but include a different set of standards to remove barriers and make infill development simpler to build. This will ensure that the City’s zoning allows more housing choices than our development currently support and incentivize the evolution of Tucson corridors form isolated car-centric developments to interconnected pedestrian oriented place.
