The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the largest, most influential network of architecture and industry professionals, students, and academics. Our members share your passion for architecture and your desire to change the world through the power of design.

AIA Arizona is here to support your career, enhance your practice, and advance the architecture profession. The number of members in AIA Arizona has consistently grown in recent years, and we welcome you as a member.

By joining AIA Arizona as an Architect or Associate member, you receive membership at the local, state, and national levels, allowing you to gain from the most valuable professional resources available.

Membership eligibility, categories, and dues vary by professional career stage. See the membership categories below to see which option is best for you.

Allied Professional

This membership is Arizona-specific for Allied members. Allied Firms and Allied Individuals are those in a profession or trade related to architecture (partners, suppliers, services, contractors, and adjacent professions). Allied members are recognized with statewide membership within AIA Arizona. The key Allied member benefits are Access, Connection, and Communication.

The 2025 dues rates for Allied Professionals:

$450 INDIVIDUAL: Member benefits for one person
$700 FIRM: Member benefits for up to 6 people in a company

Allied members receive all regular AIA Arizona email communications, including weekly newsletters and important information for the membership.
The ability for you to self-identify as an Allied member of AIA Arizona on Linkedin or in your own correspondence.
An exclusive opportunity to sponsor the Allied-focused activity during the AIA Arizona State Conference, to be held in October each year. This will enable you and your colleagues to meet many of the architects and emerging professionals attending the conference.
Enjoy regular networking opportunities such as chapter meetings, building tours, and committee meetings.
Receive discounts on conferences and seminars relevant to design and building professionals.
Receive a reduced member rate on AIA Contract Documents and electronic software.
Take part in opportunities to market your services through various sponsorship levels.
Have the opportunity to work with architects and other professionals on numerous committees that impact your area and state.
Above all, you have access to connect to the architecture community and be involved. You will be invited to take part in all Allied committee meetings (either in person or Zoom) to actively engage and plan for additional activities throughout the year. Allied members are instrumental in coordinating the Annual Desert Classic Volleyball Tournament, CANstruction, the Allied activity during the AIA Arizona State Conference, as well as other events. With Allied Firm membership, up to six people in your company receive AIA Arizona communication, and can self-identify as an AIA Arizona Allied member. In addition to all of the benefits noted in the previous section, Allied Firm members:

Have the opportunity to be featured in an email called “Allied Spotlight” to all AIA members once per year. It truly is a marketing/promo piece for your company. Companies that are featured in an Allied Spotlight will also be featured simultaneously in one post on social media (Instagram, Linkedin, or Facebook).
Have the opportunity to present a lunch & learn continuing education program. This is now an exclusive benefit of Allied Firm members (companies must be AIA Arizona Allied Firm members for the privilege to give a lunch & learn to our membership).
In addition, Allied Firm member companies that are sponsors receive special recognition at either the conference in October of each year, or the AIA Arizona Awards Gala planned for November annually.
