SB1305School Construction Moratorium As you are all aware - Arizona is in a severe budget deficit and the legislators think that one way to solve this issue - is to put a moratorium on school construction. SB1305 would require the school facilities board to not approve any new school construction for the remainder of the 2007-2008 fiscal year and for fiscal year 2008-2009.We are not sure if this stand alone bill will continue through the legislative process or if this will become a part of the overall bill for the budget. Please contact your members of the legislature and let them know that school construction is important for our kids, economy, as well as to those communities that are experiencing growing student populations and require new schools. |
