| ADVOCACY 101 - WEBCAST |
|
Government Advocacy
Architects and the AIA have a long tradition of advocating for improved public safety and health in the built environment before appointed and elected officials in the government. These conversations might be with planning commissioners, city council members, state representatives, or members of the U.S. Congress. They are often brief discussions, and it is frequently difficult to communicate complex ideas or information in a short period of time.Join us for an Advocacy 101 webcast designed to discuss the “nuts and bolts” of how architects can use their skills and training to be better advocates for the profession, and learn new skills to improve your abilities as an advocate for issues related to public safety, health, and welfare. **Participation in the Advocacy 101 webcast will earn 2.0 hours of HSW Continuing Education Credit.
The website to register for the web cast and to get additional information is: http://webcast.streamlogics.com/audience/index.asp?eventid=60677.
