As you know - AIA Phoenix Metro adopted 5 families from the Arizona National Guard for the holidays and you stepped up and made their holidays very special. Here is a note we received from one of the families.
I just wanted to Thank You so much for even thinking of me for the Christmas adoption. The gifts really helped me and the kids out a lot and we really did appreciate it all. Hopefully next year we will be on our feet to adopt a family and help out the way they helped us. Thanks again to you and anyone else who helped us out! I couldn’t believe all the stuff that we got, and the grocery card helped so much. It really made our Christmas when I didn’t think we were going to have much of one this year…..Again Thank you , and your little helpers.

Navigating the Zoning Maze
|
|
January 26, 2007
Today’s development and design professionals and policy makers need to know how to negotiate the turbulent maze of the zoning process. Many projects never get past the first stage of entitlements because of the increasingly complex process. The reason the zoning and entitlement process can be so difficult is that each jurisdiction has different rules and regulations, which are constantly changing and evolving. It is valuable to have an understanding of the zoning and development process from a legal and planning viewpoint.
This course will provide attendees with a practical base knowledge of land entitlement regulations and processes from a private and public perspective. The workshop will be lead by private and public practitioners using group discussions, case studies and role playing to examine the fundamentals of “real life” situations.
Date: January 26, 2007 9:00 pm -5:00 pm
Location: Planning + Design Academy at PURL 234 N. Central 8th Fl. Phoenix,
Cost: $250 for private/corporate and $200 for public/ non-profits.
Lunch is included
